Singing and Rhythm from Around the World
Do you love to sing? Are you between 6-8?
A fun, playful, exploratory singing, games and movement class for kids ages 6-8. This class will be about enjoying singing and movement and an introduction to group singing and rhythm games. We will draw on music from around the world and we will learn the music without much written material – focusing on developing our ears and getting the music into our bodies. We will meet for 6 sessions – Wednesdays 4:00-4:45 starting on Oct 10th.
SongRoots Kids will be lead by Karla Mundy who runs 4 adult community choirs, runs summer singing camps and leads musical study trips to Cuba, Louisiana and North Carolina.
Who: Kids ages 6-8 – no experience necessary. Aiming for 10-12 kids.
When: Wednesdays 4:00-4:45 -Oct 10, 17, 24, Nov 7, 14, and 21
How Much: $100
Where: Ocean and Crow Yoga Studio – 1707 Grant Street.
