ONLINE SESSIONS
The ONLINE SESSIONS will be held on Thursdays in the fall of 2026 and topics covered will be
-selecting rep
-preparation for rehearsals
-warm ups
-technique
-basic principles of steering technique
-pattersm preparations, cut offs, entries
-independence based on entries and rhythm
-Articulation and dynamics
-Fermatas
-Reduction
We would each lead an online rehearsal session with one of Wilmia's choirs in Guadalajara on some of the rep we would bring.

Then we will start the rehearsals Thursday/Friday nights on Nov 26th . We will schedule those depending on who can do what.
The classes will be 11:00 am-1:00 Guadalajara Time. Now this is confusing because Mexico does not do Daylight Savings Time
So for the classes in Sept and October it will be these times
Vancouver - 10:00-12:00
Denver and Mexico City- 11:00-1:00
Chicago, Minnesota and Nashville - 12:00-2:00
Quebec and Boston - 1:00-3:00
For classes in November it will be
Vancouver - 9:00-11:00
Denver- 10:00-12:00
Chicago, Minnesota, Mexico City and Nashville - 11:00-1:00
Quebec and Boston - 12:00-2:00
IN PERSON - GUADALAJARA Jan 6-10 2027
We will form an ensemble (with several of Wilmia's singers who are also conducting students) and we will conduct ourselves in this ensemble (taking turns) We would each also conduct one of her choirs and would have rehearsals with them. This would all culminate in a closing concert. We would be meeting daily for practice sessions and in person coaching.
